New Spanish Language Paper Hits Oregon

EPMG extends a warm welcome to Cancha, a new subsidiary of The Oregonian catering to Oregon’s and Southwest Washington’s booming Hispanic population.

“The free paper will launch with 20,000 copies and will be tabloid format, focusing on sports and entertainment.

The paper will include two pages devoted to local news and events, 10 pages of classified advertising and the rest will cover news of interest to the Mexican American community.

Local content will come from The Oregonian’s editorial staff, which will then be translated. The paper will be distributed on Friday’s through area street boxes and local businesses.”
